QuickSnap is a SHAREWARE time-lapse and still image photography application for use with a Connectix QuickCam and other video cameras which use QuickTime (for example AV macs). It can save images directly as JPEG files and also features automatic exposure with spot metering and motion detection. This means you can make time-lapse movies of flowers opening under real world lighting conditions !!!
Features :
• Automatic Exposure
• Spot Metering
• JPEG compression with comments
• Motion Detection for Security Applications
• Time - Lapse Movies with auto exposure.
• Can grab pictures while in the background !
• Time Stamping option
Verion 1.0.4 Improvements
• Works with other digital cameras as well as the QuickCam. THIS FEATURE IS IN BETA at the moment
• Finite memory option added to movement detection. This means that very slow things can be set to not trigger the movement detection.
QuickSnap is shareware. If you use this program, you must pay the fee of US$25.00. For this you will receive a registration code which will customise the application -- writing your name at startup -- this will make you feel very virtuous.
To register you currently have three options :
(1) You can register with your credit card over the world wide web -- see my web page for details.
(2) You can register if you have a CompuServe account (GO SWREG).
(3) Your last alternative is to fill in the registration form in this folder and send it, with the US$25 registration fee, to the address below. Now for fast response - email (or phone) me once you have sent the letter and I will email you the registration code.
